If design development requires researched specifications or samples, a non-refundable design deposit will apply toward the final purchase price. When we agree on the design and costs,
50% downpayment secures my commitment to your project. The remainder will be due upon your final satisfaction.
Please consider these points in the commissioning process:
• Are you looking for ideas or do you have specific design ideas in mind?
• Why are handcrafted metals particularly appropriate for your project?
• How can I best help you realize your design ideas?
• Are you ready to get specific about:
• Dimensions: length, width, height
• Type of material: steel, copper, brass, aluminum, etc.
• Size and shape of stock: round or square bar, sheet or plate, etc.
• Types of intersections/joinery: forged, riveted, bolted, welded . . .
• Finishes: hammered, polished, brushed, painted, powder-coated . . .
• Delivery: truck access, entrance times, stairs, doors, elevators . . .
• Assembly: Is some fabrication required on site?
• Installation: If the item is not freestanding, how and into what will it be anchored? Is there a need to coordinate with other general or sub-contractors? Do zoning regulations, property covenants or construction codes apply?
