Craftsman's Statement:

It’s a challenge to create something that’s site specific, functional and beautiful as well as being very strong, well anchored in its environment and extremely durable.

In an outdoor setting, lasting beauty comes from attention to detail - the design and finish of every little joint and attachment, hook, hinge or latch. Surfaces, paints and patinas need equally detailed attention, too.

I personally enjoy gardening and landscape work. Plants of all kinds draw my attention and fascinate me with their forms, growth habits and seasonal cycles. It’s very rewarding to contribute a form or structure of my own making to the outdoor environment.
